I strongly recommend that if you are considering chemotherapy, have your oncologist read all about the ChemFX assay before he or she selects a chemotherpeutic regime for your cancer. They culture your tumor cells taken at the time of surgery, grow them in the lab, and test the efficacy of a panel of drugs on the drugs in the test tube.
This is far superior than having a doctor test the efficacy of drugs on your body at the same time as your tumor because you avoid wasting time with chemotherapies that will not work. If a drug cannot kill your cancer in a test tube, what chance will it have in your body? I recommended this for my sister five years ago for her breast cancer. She’s had two sons since then and no signs of cancer.
